The Associated Press book helps students understand the world of editing. ''Without The Associated Press, the planet would be a very different place.'' (AP Style book) The same can be said about using internet. The world be very different if the internet had not been invented, so there would be no such thing as blogging. Blogs help start group discussions and people can talk other people around the word, and they have never even meet before. The world wide web has changed people's way of thinking and same can be said about the AP Style book.

Scott Karp wrote on article in 2007 called ''Every Newspaper Journalist Should Start a Blog''. Karp talks about how college students/people in the media can benefit from having there own blog. If a person has there own blog that person can have a good resume for a job, the writer can be more accurate about keeping things posted and up to date, the writer can stay more connected with reader through the internet because almost everybody uses the internet.

When a writer starts a blog, the writer can show a future employer how he/she can keep up with the times. The writer shows his/her online skills and even there writing skills when they post things on a blog. The writers writings are right there in front of a computer screen for the whole world wide web can read. People can make comments or people can start another blog off your blog. This can start a discussion online among many other people.
